Veteran Resource Services is hosting its first-annual Williston Heroes Rodeo in October to raise money for its planned veterans training and services center in Williston.
The non-profit has teamed up with Flying C Rodeo to put on the Oct. 11-13 event at Horseman’s Park in Williston. Activities will include the rodeo, a family fun fest Saturday afternoon, heroes recognition and more. The goal is to provide a fun weekend for the entire family, while raising funds to purchase the former Williston Middle School to convert it to a veterans training and support services center. Job training, counseling and medical services are just some of the proposed components of the facility.
VRS is based out of Clermont, with a vision of establishing these campuses across the country. Learn more about the organization here.
