CareerSource is offering some short-term training classes and scholarships in two programs.

Eligible students can enroll in spring classes for AutoCAD and Warehouse/Forklift/OSHA. Classes can give participants a competitive edge in the job marketplace, and scholarships can offset the tuition cost for qualifying students. Also, the classes are convenient for students who can’t commit to long-term training.

Details are as follows:

  • AutoCAD program meets Wednesdays from March 30 through June 30. The 10-week program combines classroom instruction and online assignments for a total of 60 hours of training. It focuses on mechanical drafting, preparing students for entry-level jobs. Students will receive a certificate of completion from CF. Cost for the class is $240 per student.
  • Warehouse/Forklift/OSHA is a two-week program April 18 through 30 that provides 33 hours of classroom and hands-on instruction. Students learn basic warehouse processes, including shipping and receiving, inventory control/systems and documentation, and forklift operation.  Students receive a CF certificate of completion as well as an OSHA 10-hour certification card. Cost is $340 per student.
